Ice Storm Disaster Relief Update
We have been working the storm since Friday, March 7. Currently we are doing chainsaw work in the following:

  • Davidson County – Set up at FBC Welcome. Phone number for those seeking assistance is (910) 840-2531. Or, they can go to the site and communicate directly with the operation. FBC Welcome, 404 Welcome Arcadia Rd, Welcome, NC 27374
  • Guilford County – Set up at South Elm Baptist Church. Phone number for those seeking assistance is 336.430.3056. Those seeking assistance can visit the site at South Elm Baptist Church, 4212 S Elm Eugene St., Greensboro, NC 27406. Also, – in cooperation with Guilford County Emergency Management we have setup a Point of Distribution (POD) at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. Residents of Pleasant Garden can drive through to receive bottled water.
  • Alamance County – this site should be setup by lunch today. Phone number for those seeking assistance is 919.631.3226. Site is FBC Mebane - 301 S Third St., Mebane, NC 27302.
    Volunteers that want to participate should call John Burnett at 828.508.8499, jhnbrntt43@gmail.com. He is sorting the teams to the different sites. You can also go to our website for more information on how to volunteer to help, get updates or make a donation.

2014 NC Missions Conference set for March 21-22, 2014
Now is the time to register for the Missions Conference! The NC Missions Conference is on March 21-22, 2014 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte. Highlights include keynote speakers Anne Graham Lotz, David Platt, Bryan Loritts, Leonard Sweet. Contemporary Christian music artist Christy Nockels will lead worship for this year’s event. Other highlights include testimonies, breakout sessions, mission fair exhibits and much more. For more information or to register click on link below:

Workshops Offered On Saturday, March 22 during the Missions Conference
You must be registered for the Missions conference to attend the Saturday breakout workshop sessions. A total of 100 Mission Action Workshops will be offered on campus at HGBC during the Missions Conference. For a listing of all workshop titles and times click on the link below.
