Houses of Hope in Kenya
Houses of Hope offers volunteer teams the opportunity to participate in an exciting church planting strategy of the Kenya Baptist Convention. Teams build four houses in four days for needy families in Kenyan villages. Local pastors then work to begin Bible Studies in these homes, with the goal of starting a church. Team members  will have opportunity to conduct children’s ministry as well. For more information and to view an informative video, visit our website at:

Missions Celebrations
In August, NCBM will host ten Mission Celebrations across the state. These celebrations will highlight the excellent mission work NC Baptists are doing in our state, our nation, and around the world. Featured will be worship, testimonies, mission videos, and a prayer time for missions. Everyone interested in missions is encouraged to attend - men, women, and youth. A meal is provided for the NC Mission Celebrations at no charge, but reservations are necessary to ensure an accurate meal count. The cut off date for reserving a meal for each Celebration is one week prior to the event. To register, download a promotional flyer, and see directions to the site, please see the information below. Please contact Kecia Morgan at 1-800-395-5102 x 5613 or kmorgan@ncbaptist.org if you have questions.

Please pray for the construction of the Quiche Health Clinic and Training Center. Many North Carolina teams are serving there to build this facility that will provide a valuable service and evangelistic tool for reaching the over 1.3 million Quiche, the largest indigenous Mayan group in Guatemala. Pray for those Quiche who will be trained as community health evangelists, church planters, and youth leaders at the facility. Pray that the Quiche will come to truly know who Jesus is. For more information go to

Please pray for Mike and Ginger Greene in their role as on-site coordinators for our Honduras Partnership. Pray for wisdom and discernment as they work with the Honduran Baptist Churches in the identification of projects. Pray for the safety of the Greenes and the many volunteer teams they work with each year. Pray that Hondurans our teams come into contact with will understand their need for Christ in their lives. Pray that the Honduran congregations will be strengthened. For more information go to
