Red Springs Mission Camp
There are a big variety of mission projects that your church can be involved in at the Red Springs Mission Camp. The goal of the Mission camps is to provide life changing mission projects at an affordable price. Security Training
NC Baptist Men/Baptist on Mission and Fort Sherman Academy are providing a faith based security training for International Mission Team leaders on December 6-8, 2012 at the Red Springs Mission Camp. This B+ training is designed for team leaders and on-site coordinators who travel to elevated risk locations. The training covers travel safety/security, code of conduct, crime survival, hostage survival, dealing with unfriendly governments, basic crisis policy, etc. – all from a faith-based perspective. Fort Sherman Academy is one of the world's largest providers of advanced travel security courses, crisis management instruction and high-risk hostage survival training to civilians. The cost for this three day training is $200 per person and this includes all lodging, meals, materials and instruction. The training will be held in Red Springs, NC and will begin at 10 am on Thursday, December 6 and concludes at noon on Saturday, December 8. More information will be sent to you after you register.

Beach Blast
Come to the coast (Caswell) on Friday, August 10, and have an afternoon/evening of fun, food and fellowship! Arrive after lunch and enjoy the pool, beach, gym, and mini golf from 1:30 to 4:30. This will be followed by a hamburger/hot dog cookout at 5:30 before the RUSH OF FOOLS concert in Hatch Auditorium. This is sure to be fun for all, so plan to bring your youth and children's groups.

Houses of Hope in Kenya
Houses of Hope offers volunteer teams the opportunity to participate in an exciting church planting strategy of the Kenya Baptist Convention. Teams build four houses in four days for needy families in Kenyan villages. Local pastors then work to begin Bible Studies in these homes, with the goal of starting a church. Team members  will have opportunity to conduct children’s ministry as well. For more information and to view an informative video, visit our website at:

Missions Celebrations
In August, NCBM will host ten Mission Celebrations across the state. These celebrations will highlight the excellent mission work NC Baptists are doing in our state, our nation, and around the world. Featured will be worship, testimonies, mission videos, and a prayer time for missions. Everyone interested in missions is encouraged to attend - men, women, and youth. A meal is provided for the NC Mission Celebrations at no charge, but reservations are necessary to ensure an accurate meal count. The cut off date for reserving a meal for each Celebration is one week prior to the event. To register, download a promotional flyer, and see directions to the site, please see the information below. Guatemala
Please pray for the construction of the Quiche Health Clinic and Training Center. Many North Carolina teams are serving there to build this facility that will provide a valuable service and evangelistic tool for reaching the over 1.3 million Quiche, the largest indigenous Mayan group in Guatemala. Pray for those Quiche who will be trained as community health evangelists, church planters, and youth leaders at the facility. Pray that the Quiche will come to truly know who Jesus is. Honduras
Please pray for Mike and Ginger Greene in their role as on-site coordinators for our Honduras Partnership. Pray for wisdom and discernment as they work with the Honduran Baptist Churches in the identification of projects. Pray for the safety of the Greenes and the many volunteer teams they work with each year. Pray that Hondurans our teams come into contact with will understand their need for Christ in their lives. Pray that the Honduran congregations will be strengthened. For more information go to

Baptist Men, Challengers, and Royal Ambassador Training
Two statewide Leadership Training Sessions will be held at Red Springs Mission Camp (August 24-25) and at Shelby Mission Camp (September 7-8). Sessions will be provided for those working with Baptist Men/Men’s Ministry, Challengers, and Royal Ambassadors. Training begins with supper on Friday and concludes with lunch on Saturday. The cost is $30 per person and will cover lodging, three meals, and training costs. The training will prepare local church leaders to effectively reach the men, young men, and boys in their church for Christ and to involve them in missions.
