Florence Rebuild Update - October 2020

This is a current update on our FLORENCE effort to rebuild homes and start the new construction program in the eastern areas of our state.

We still have 300+ Florence storm damaged homes on our list right now that are in need of rebuilding in all areas of the state. We also have two new building programs, one in Lumberton and the other in Rose Hill (at Charity). This program will be used to move families out of the flood zones and into a new home on higher ground. The homes range from 900-1400 Sq. FT. and be on a crawl space for easy access. We are extremely excited about this because relocation out of the flood plane is, the way to go for the future.

All the sites need rebuild teams; with the “NEW BUILD” program we need all trades. We are ready for 5 foundations to go in before the middle of December. Please take this to your church or friends that could help in this rebuild and new construction opportunity.

All the centers are complying with the CDC requirement to be safe with the pandemic. All sites are up to 1/3^rd capacity in accordance with the Governor’s Phase 3 requirements.
