World Missions Week

World Missions Week: July 4-9, 2016
Are you interested in learning about exciting opportunities for involvement in state, national, and international missions? Then, World Missions Week is the place you want to be! Celebrative worship, small group time, and mission moments are but a small part of World Missions Week. Big Daddy Weave will be leading worship each evening. Chad Poe will be our pastor for the week. Inspirational and informative studies will be provided for all age groups (pre-school, children, youth, adults) as well. NCBM coordinates this week with assistance from NC Woman’s Missionary Union. This is the only week of the summer at Caswell that offers programming for all age groups.

Chad Poe

Chad preaches God's Word through story telling, media, and visual experience. As a result, the Scripture is clearly presented in order for people of all ages to examine and apply Biblical truth to their everyday walks of life. As someone not simply called to speak, Chad believes in the importance of relationship and seeks to get to know people when he is away from the stage. Ultimately, Chad hopes to see people moved into a deeper relationship with Christ. In turn, they will live lives of action that impact their world.
Chad and his wife, Hope, live in Chattanooga, TN with their sons (Shepherd and Charlie) and daughter (Magnolia Bea). He is an avid reader and infrequent visitor to the gym. He also serves as a teaching pastor at Ridgedale Baptist Church where he speaks for the Encounter Worship Service.

Big Daddy Weave

The band is made up of brothers Mike and Jay Weaver (Mike handles the songwriting and lead vocals, and Jay is on bass and vocals), Jeff Jones (drums), Joe Shirk (sax and keyboards) and Jeremy Redmon (guitars and vocals). Their roots reach back to the University of Mobile on Alabama's gulf coast, and the band has ties to Florida, too. All the sunshine these guys have soaked up over the years definitely makes its way into their music. There's a laid-back, almost island vibe that permeates the soul-filled, rootsy pop rock they deliver.

The industry started taking notice in 2002, when Big Daddy Weave were nominated for a Dove Award for Artist of the Year, but they'd have to wait until 2010 to take a trophy home, this time for the Christmas album Christ Is Come. They're perennial fan favorites, though, as evidenced by their win for Song of the Year at the first-ever K-Love Fan Awards in 2013. The track "Redeemed"is just the latest in a long line of hits.

Deep Impact 2016 Summer Missions Caswell

July 3-9, 2016
Deep Impact camp will combine the worship experience of summer youth camp with the “hands-on” missions experience of a mission trip. Each participant will choose from a wide selection of mission projects which they will be involved in throughout the week. Deep Impact camp is for adults and youth only (rising 7th-12th graders). No childcare will be available for this camp. All adults and youth will be expected to participant in a mission project. These mission projects will mainly be off campus and each church must provide drivers and transportation to and from the projects daily. All lodging is in the barracks and meals in the dining hall. Big Daddy Weave will be leading worship each evening. Chad Poe will be our pastor for the week.
