The Sporting Goods Manufacturing Association (SGMA) reports in 2009 that US sporting goods manufacturers made $71.8 billion in revenue. In the same year, ESPN records show that the average for professional basketball game attendance was more than 17,000; average attendance for professional baseball numbered 30,000, and 67,000 for professional football games.
