What Our Teams Do

In recent years opportunities have expanded through the Roma Partnership. Teams have shared the love of Christ in Hungary, Romania and Ukraine in a variety of ways. There are many opportunities for teams to work in the following areas:

English Bible Camps in Hungarian Public Schools

In 2012 following a law change in Hungary, public schools were asked to offer Bible classes. Along with this change, 49 of the public schools came under operation of the Hungarian Baptists. Baptists on Mission was invited to bring summer teams to host English Bible Camps for public school children. Since that time, five years of gospel-centered curriculum have been developed for teams to use in hosting these camps with preschool and school-age children. Church teams have the opportunity to openly share the gospel and return year after year to the same school, building relationships and seeing a spiritual harvest in these communities. Medical Teams

Numerous Roma communities throughout Romania and Ukraine have little access to medical care. Showing God’s love through medical care opens the door to relationship building and sharing the Gospel. Opportunities are available for medical teams to work with Roma churches and villages in both Romania and Ukraine.

VBS/Outreach Teams

A spiritual harvest is being recognized as teams continue to provide Vacation Bible School, evangelistic outreach and youth, women’s and men’s events in Roma communities in Romania and Hungary. Baptists on Mission is seeking North Carolina churches willing to send teams to build relationships in these communities; partnering with the local leadership for long-term effectiveness and spiritual growth.
