Volunteers are serving all over the world in a variety of ways. Join us for ministry in a variety of ways and in a variety of places outside the U.S.! There are many opportunities in places like Cuba, Haiti, Armenia, Ukraine, Kenya, Guatemala, Honduras, South Africa, India, Sri Lanka and other places.

	Adopt A People Group Unreached people groups (UPG) are ethnic groups that do not have in their midst churches capable of evangelizing their own people. According to “Joshua Project” there are 16,367 different people groups worldwide and over 6,600 of those are considered unreached people groups. A large number of these groups are located in the 10/40 window, the area of Africa and Asia from 10 degrees to 40 degrees latitude north of the equator. Many people in the 10/40 window have very little or no knowledge or access to the Gospel of Christ. People in this region are dominated by Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Animism and other tribal beliefs.
	Armenia NC Baptist Men will continue with projects in Armenia in 2012. Teams going have helped the Baptist Union of Armenia to become one of the largest evengelical groups. Their needs are for help in purchasing or constructing of buildings. Funds are needed for renovation materials and labor to hire some Armenians to help with construction. The purpose of the project is to work with the Armenia Baptist Union and national pastors to reach communities for Christ. Vacation Bible School, men and ladies conferences, sports, glasses and health clinics are needed. Anything with children will be good.
	Guatemala North Carolina Baptist Men, working in cooperation with the Quiche Baptist Association in central Guatemala, will send teams to assist in the construction of a community health clinic and leadership training center in 2012 and beyond.
	Haiti On January 12, 2010 Haiti was struck by a tremendous earthquake that caused extensive damage. NC Baptist Men Rescue 24 responded accordingly with a medical team as requested by a mission in Haiti. Since that initial team arrived, we have been sending teams to assist with the needs.  From January 2010 until December 2011, the Lord worked through 1,200 constructiona and medical volunteers.
	Cuba NC Baptist Men's office has been involved in a Partnership with the Eastern Baptist Convention of Cuba for several years. Volunteer teams from North Carolina will have the opportunity to engage in a number of construction project. Men, women and older students have a great opportunity worship, work with and get to know our Cuban Baptist brotherts and sisters.
	Honduras NC Baptist Men have been sending teams to Honduras for the past thirteen years. The purpose of our being in Honduras is to partner with Honduran congregations in proclaiming the gospel of Christ. All teams (including construction) are encouraged to participate in evangelistic outreach to the community in which they work. This may include prayer walks, door-to-door visitation, the showing of the “Jesus” film, VBS or Backyard Bible Clubs for the children, etc. Most of our area of focus in 2012 will be south of Tegucigalpa, in and around the Choluteca area, as there are many needs in that area.
	India Individuals, mission groups, Sunday School classes, and congregations have the opportunity to participate in a meaningful and life-changing ministry taking place in the state of Bihar, India. Bihar is one of the poorest states in all of India. Some of the major problems encountered by Biharans include very poor health care, high infant mortality, limited access to clean water, and an illiteracy rate of nearly 50 percent. Located in the northern part of the country, less than one half of one percent of the population is Christian. However, that is beginning to change through the efforts of a ministry called T.I.M.
	Japan Please pray for the people of Japan as they suffer through this difficult time. Pray also for Japanese Baptists as they seek to minister to hurting people. Within hours of the earthquake, the Japan Baptist Convention contacted Rescue 24 to request disaster relief assistance. NC Baptist Men are a part of Rescue 24. On March 11, a NC Baptist Men Search and Rescue team left from Raleigh Durham airport en route to Japan. This team will join a team from Hungarian Baptist Aid and will be doing an initial assessment of the disaster and seeking the best ways to assist Japanese Baptists in responding to the disaster.
	Kenya North Carolina Baptist Men, working in partnership with the Baptist Convention of Kenya, will sponsor mission teams to the African nation of Kenya. The nature of the mission effort will be three-fold: 1) to aid in the construction of a girl's dormitory for the Nyeri Baptist High School; 2) to partcipate in a house-building/church planting effort in Western Kenya, and 3) to send evangelism/outreach teams to strategic areas of the country.
	Lebanon North Carolina Baptist Men will sponsor mission opportunities in Lebanon in 2011. NC Baptists will have three ways to participate, as described below. This ministry is in conjunction with Living Faith Ministries, International, a non-denominational ministry dedicated to share Jesus throughout the Middle East in an open manner. Chaouki (pronounced “sha-we”) Boulos, a Lebanese Christian, is the founder of the ministry.
	Sri Lanka NC Baptist Men is sending teams to Sri Lanka to help with disaster relief efforts following the December 26, 2004 Tsunami. Volunteer teams from North Carolina will have the opportunity to engage in a number of construction projects. The purpose of the partnership is to work with Sri Lankan Christians in helping them to reach their communities for Christ.
	Roma People NC Baptist Men will be doing projects in Ukraine in 2012. Hungarian Baptist Aid and NC Baptist Men have helped a group of gypsies to purchase a building for a church in Munkacs, Ukraine. NC Baptist Men has been asked to partner in the renovation of this very large building. Munkacs is a city of approximately 75,000 to 80,000 people.
	Africa NC Baptist Men have partnered with Africa for Christ to sponsor national church planters in Southern Africa. These church planters are doing a great job of sharing Christ and starting churches in very difficult places.
