Youth Camp Projects                                
Cloudcroft, New Mexico

Teams of 10 – 12 volunteers are needed to do many tasks at a Baptist Youth Camp owned and operated by the New Mexico Baptist Convention. Tasks may include: the renovation of a camp pavilion into cabin space (a major project); bathroom renovation throughout the camp; existing dormitory renovation (mostly sheet rock); work on the ropes course (which will include building some new elements); painting and trail work throughout the camp. Team will need to rent a vehicle to get from airport in Albuquerque to the camp. Teams can lodge at the camp for no charge. Team would need to bring bedding. Because of state health regulations, the camp director prefers that the camp staff prepare all three meals for the team ($15 per person per day for food is suggested). There is option to eat out some meals as well if the team would prefer – just let director know beforehand.

Length of assignment:    One week
Preferred dates:              July 11-18, 2015
Cost:                                Travel to New Mexico, van rental, $15 per person per day for meals
