College-age Disaster Relief Training 2015

CHANGE:

College-age (18-25) disaster relief training in cleanup and recovery will be offered at FBC Johnsonville, South Carolina on Oct. 17, 2015.  The purpose for changing this event location is due to the flooding response in South Carolina.  Participants will be able to experience a real disaster event and help those in need AND recieve a NCBM Disaster Relief credential for the training.  Participants will also receive instruction in NCBM Disaster Relief history, policy, procedures, safety, and experience hands-on training. 
Dress comfortably for indoors and outdoors.  Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Wear sturdy shoes. 
Cost is $5, housing, meals, instruction, materials, hat, shirt, badge, background check and accidental insurance included.
Credentialing begins at 8:30 a.m.  Class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday
 
This is a one-day event. However, due to the distance we highly recommend you arrive on Friday night before 9 p.m.  If you arrive by 6 p.m. you can eat supper with us, otherwise, please eat before arrival.    

Please note, you will receive a NCBM credential AFTER your background check has cleared.
