Boys Camp - Information Packet
Camp Caraway Summer Programs are operated by Baptist On Mission (NC Baptist Men).  We have been leading summer camp at Caraway since the summer of 1963.  The Caraway experience is intentional about creating teachable moments through every aspect of camp.  We use every activity, whether recreation or a worship service, to teach and equip children and young adults with Biblical truths.  Through our strong emphasis on relationships and community, our quality staff strives to build a positive relationship with each child while modeling a godly lifestyle 24/7.  At Caraway, our games and and recreation support teamwork and individual growth.  During our daily missions time, children are challenged and encouraged by seasoned missionaries to follow Jesus Christ's Great Commission to make disciples as they go.

Who can attend?
This is a week for boys ages 9 - 17.  Boys can attend alone or with a small group.  They do not have to be active in church to attend.

What do the boys do there?
Our recreation is epic fun!  Recreation and activities vary some depending on camper's age.  Recreation may include:  swimming in pool and lake, water slides, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, bazooka ball, archery, air rifle, sling shots, pedal race cars, rock walls, zip lines, ropes challenge course, octaball, 9 square in the air, field games, wiffle ball, team building, crafts, cornhole, Kubb, disc gold, outdoor living skills, skits, fun songs, canteen for snacks & gifts, camp fires and more.

How are the boys divided and what are their accommodations?

This unit is designed to meet the needs of younger boys and help them transition to a fun camp environment away from home. Recreation may include: water fights, pedal race cars, crafts, low ropes challenge course, zip line, swimming in the lake, water slides, swimming pool, kayaks, archery, air rifles, sling slots, group games, cookouts, hiking and more.

How are the summer staff screened before hiring?
Staff go through a detailed application process which includes a thorough written application, interview, and an annual national background check.

My child takes medication, what do I do?
The confirmation includes a medical form that you will complete and turn in to the camp director at check-in.  We follow the American Camp Association's standards for medication administration.  Our trained staff will administer the medication as directed on the original packaging or prescription.  We have nurses available by phone when needed for questions.

My child has food allergies.  Can I send food with my camper?
Contact the camp director before coming to camp. We will gladly work with you and your child as much as possible.
