Complete the form below if interested in participating.  Just one person per team needs to sign up, usually the team leader.

Some things you should know.

Logistics: sleeping area, showers, and food are provided. You will need to provide your own cot, air mattress and bedding items, towels, washcloths etc.
 
Age: minimum age is completion of 6th grade.  Your team must have a 2/5 ratio of adult to student.  Teams with students: all adults must complete a background check. Additional information will be sent to help you. 
 
Nature of Work: to serve those who have been affected by the recent disaster. We are also focused on the spiritual needs of the people here so remember to love and pray for these survivors as your work.  The majority of the work is construction type work such as replacing sheetrock, floors, doors, cabinets, etc.  Some roof jobs and the trades such as plumbing, HVAC, and electrical are available.  Your site coordinator can give you specific details depending on where you are assigned.  You will receive more info. from the site coordinator regarding exact details when you sign up. 

Skills: Teams need to have at least 1 skilled worker for each 5 volunteers.  It is important to have someone that knows how to do basic carpentry like replacing sheetrock, floors, framing, etc.  Please recruit skilled laborers for the rest of your team.

What to bring: in most cases simple hand tools will suffice such as a hammer, wrecking bar, battery powered screwdrivers, etc.  The site coordinator can give you specific tool lists depending on the project.  We can provide some tools on a limited basis.

When: teams can sign up for 1 day or several days.  All sites: Monday - Saturday; except for Goldsboro which is Wed.-Sat.

Where: We are serving mainly in 4 locations: Bertie County, Pender County, Robeson County, and Wayne County.
