Hurricane Debby, now Tropical Storm Debby, has impacted the Southeast United States over the past few days. North Carolina has already experienced significant rainfall and there is more rain and wind on the way. At this time we do not know exactly how we will respond, but we believe that there will be significant flooding and significant needs due to Debby.
We are watching to determine where the greatest needs will be and we are preparing our equipment and volunteers as well as our eastern North Carolina mission camps and rebuild centers in Lumberton, Red Springs, Rose Hill and New Bern so that we are ready to respond. Also, we have been asked and we are preparing to send a feeding and shower/laundry units and volunteers to serve at an evacuation shelter. Please pray for people who are affected by Debby as well as our volunteers who are going to serve them in Jesus’ name.
If you want to respond and you are trained in (EXCEPT RECOVERY), please email your DR ministry leader of your availability.
IF YOU ARE wanting to respond to recovery please complete the VOLUNTEER NOW tab to the right. Once we have more information we will send you an email with that information.

Thank you for your prayers as we are assessing damage and planning for the best ways to respond to damage caused by Tropical Storm Debby. NC has experienced tornados and heavy rainfall in certain areas. We know that some of the rivers (North Cape Fear and Lumber and others) are at flood stage and have yet to crest. It will be 2-3 days before some of the flooded rivers crest and we know if mass feeding will be needed in those communities. We feel certain that we will be doing mud outs and tear outs as soon as the waters recede. Please click on the Get Involved/Volunteer button.
