Our partner, Hungarian Baptist Aid has sent a search and rescue team to Turkey to assist with finding survivors from the devastating earthquake on Monday. North Carolina Baptist Disaster Relief has sent $50,000 to assist with this effort and has offered to send some of our volunteers, if we can be helpful. Right now the best way to help is through monetary gifts and prayers.
As of February 9, our Hungarian Baptist Aid partners rescued 7 people from the rubble in Antakya, Turkey. Search dogs and specialists with heat cameras have located another 10 survivors. Continue to pray for the teams working in dangerous conditions, cold weather and exhaustion from long days.
