Update

January 30, 2026We are responding to Tennessee and need recovery volunteers to respond. Registero on the Volunteer Now tab and we will communicate with you as soon as we can.

We are also monitoring the snowsstorm coming to North Carolina and will let volunteers know if a need arises.

January 23, 2026 - All Disaster Response (DR) volunteers are currently on alert as a major winter storm moves across the state. We have pre-positioned a few pieces of equipment to ensure a rapid response should a call-out occur.

Action Items FOR DR VOLUNTEERS:

  • Monitor Communications: Please check your email frequently today and tomorrow.
  • Stay Charged: Keep your mobile devices fully charged and ready.
  • Safety First: With hazardous road conditions and potential power outages expected statewide, please prioritize your personal safety.

THINGS YOU CAN DO AT YOUR CHURCH OR IN YOUR COMMUNITY TO MAKE A LOCAL IMPACT: Since statewide deployment may be limited by travel conditions, we encourage you to serve as a Disaster Ready Church. If your facility has a generator or gas appliances, consider acting as a local warming center, charging station, or hot meal site for your immediate neighbors. Can you assist neighbors cleaning up downed trees or tree limbs? A Gospel presence!
