Since 2007, NC mission teams have served throughout Pennsylvania and South Jersey in a variety of ways, including VBS, sports camps, backyard Bible clubs, block parties, music outreach, new construction, renovation, and more. Our teams serve alongside church planters and pastors, in both rural and urban areas. In addition to ministry expertise and resources, volunteer teams offer Christian encouragement and prayer - a valuable resource in a region where there is not a evangelical church on every corner. There is great excitement for the contribution volunteer mission teams are making in Pennsylvania-South Jersey! 

NEEDS HIGHLIGHT - Teams are needed to help inner-city ethnic Baptist church in Philadelphia finish and upgrade basement into youth ministry space. Area is approximately 50’ x 60’. Will involve either repairing plaster ceiling or replacing it with sheetrock, and painting the walls.  Host church has some funds for materials, but any contribution the team can make would be appreciated. A small team can stay in the church, which has bathroom, shower, and a kitchen that the team can use.  Contact Mark Abernathy at 919-459-5607 or mabernathy@ncbaptist.org if you can help. 2026 PENNSYLVANIA-SOUTH JERSEY REQUESTS are here, and awaiting your response!  Follow these steps:

1. START BY CLICKING HERE to see a printable .PDF of current 2026 Pennsylvania-South Jersey projects. Projects listed at the bottom of this page are for those who already have secured a project and are registering their team. 
2. Once you have reviewed the list, pray about which project(s) you might want to respond to.
3. Contact Mark Abernathy (mabernathy@ncbaptist.org ; 919-459-5607) to express interest and get contact informaion.
4. You will be put in direct contact with the requestor in Pennsylvania-South Jersey to ask any and all questions.
5. If you and the requestor feel it is a good match, set a date with them for your team's service, and let Mark Abernathy know.
6. You will be sent instructions for securing the project (from the list below) on behalf of your team by registering as team leader.
