2020 Rocky Mountain Projects List
Since 2005, North Carolina Baptists on Mission (NCBM) have been sending teams to serve in the Rocky Mountain area of our nation. Projects have been completed in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. Volunteers serve through construction, VBS, servant evangelism, prayer walking, camp ministry, and more.
2020 REQUESTS are here, and awaiting your response. Start by clicking here to see a printable .PDF of 2020 Rocky Mountain projects. Once you have looked it over, contact Mark Abernathy (email@example.com ; 919-459-5607) to discuss the opportunities and/or secure a mission project. You will be put in direct contact with a requestor in the Rocky Mountain area to ask any and all questions. If both you and requestor feel it is a good match, go ahead and set a date for your team's service. Then you will be directed to secure the project (from the list below) on behalf of your team by registering as the team leader.
Cook Teams for Youth Camps
In 2020, NCBM will once again send teams to serve at the Inlow Baptist Camp in New Mexico and the Mountaintop Baptist Assembly in Wyoming. Cook teams are needed throughout the summer. Cook teams of 8-12 volunteers render a tremendous service to these Baptist camps. Maintanence teams are also be needed for a variety of tasks. Team members enjoy getting to meet the campers and the camp staff. These are great places to serve. Teams are housed at the camp and eat with the campers when camp is in session. (See the work of our cook teams highlighted in the video list to your left).
SANCTUARY CONSTRUCTION in Montana
During the summer of 2020, NCBM will send teams to Thompson Falls, Montana, to assist the First Baptist Church in construction of a new worship facility. The congregation has outgrown the small room that now serves as their worship area, and plans to construct a new 4000 square foot sanctuary adjacent to the existing building. We will need teams for all phases of construction. Each team needs a "core" group of experienced construction folk, and others with willing hearts and hands. We will schedule up to (but no more than) 24 volunteers per week, so we may have more than one team on site per week. Click here for more information about this exciting opportunity!
