Two summer youth workers (either both male or both female) are needed to work with the staff and members of local church to recruit youth of all ages for planned summer activities. They will engage students at local parks and recreation points for Bible study and discipleship. They will organize events and fellowships with students and conduct activities at the church and other gathering locations. In addition, the summer youth workers will, if possible, recruit, train, and equip volunteers from the church to continue on with the programs and activities once their time is completed. Applicants will need to be skilled in: Organization, leadership, discipleship, arts and crafts, sports as well as self-disciplined and motivated. Helpful skills include: Driving, mechanical, cleanliness and sales. Individuals will have access to the church van but will need to supply their own gas. Lodging options include: staying at the pastor’s home, RV, church or other staff’s home. Meals may be prepared at the church, eating with members of the church or eating out. Note:  Those working with children and youth will be responsible for conducting professional background checks on all members over the age of 18. Respondents will be sent information from BOM concerning options for this.
Length of Assignment: 2-3 months
Available  Dates:  Late May to Early August 2022 (negotiable)
Costs: Travel to AK, some food and gas
