One of the main priorities is to open the door for church planters in isolated communities to start Bible studies, plant churchesm and make disciples. There will be many opportunities for evangelism, preaching, or equipping conferences for men and/or women.
Ideally, each team will have at least one of two people who are familiar with construction and who can help guide their team in ways they can assist Haitians in ministry. Also, teams will do evangelism so it is helpful if some team members are familiar with simple evangelism technigues like Evangecube, The Story, or Roman Road.
Please consult the team leader for cost of trip. Each team will need to also provide funds for ministry materials or other construction supplies. It is also helpful if you take witnessing bracelets, Creole evangelism tracts, and school supplies.
Participants will need a passport for travel. Please make sure your passport has at least six (6) months validity remaining from the time of your departure from Haiti. If it has less, you will need to obtain a new passport. A visa is completed while in transit to Haiti. In addition, we recommend that every overseas traveler be up to date on Tetanus, Hepatitis A/B and Typhoid. Participants should check with their physician and/or with the Center for Disease Control concerning their recommendations on other immunizations or medicines for travel to Haiti especially mosquito born illness.
