Construction of Pastor’s House
Lewistown, Montana

Teams are needed to assist pastor with special family needs in construction of a house. Pastor’s wife and daughter suffer from a chronic illness related to toxic mold exposure. Housing is very limited in Lewistown, and it has been nearly impossible for them to find a safe, healthy place to live. They feel the best solution is to build a 1500 square foot mold/moisture resistant house with no basement. They own the land, and have a plan to build with low VOC materials. They also have a general contractor in their church who knows their special needs and is willing to work with volunteer teams who can help keep the costs of construction manageable for this already financially strained family. Initial plan for this summer is to take the project from ground to dry-in – then further if possible. If you are able to bring tools, do so. If not, the church will have some for your team to use. If flying in, church can help with transportation from the airport. Team can lodge in the church or with church members in their homes. Team can prepare meals in the church kitchen.
