Dear N.C. Baptist Churches,
The recent flooding in West Virginia devastated many parts of that state. N.C. Baptists were asked by West Virginia Baptists to coordinate disaster relief efforts in Nicholas County.
Right now, many of our volunteers are in West Virginia assisting with feeding, disaster recovery, childcare, chaplaincy, showers, laundry and many other aspects of disaster relief. Your gifts to the North Carolina Missions Offering (NCMO) makes all of this possible. There are many hurting people in West Virginia right now who need our prayers and our help.
- Consider taking a few minutes this Sunday to pray for people in West Virginia. Please pray for the homeowners who have lost so much and are faced with a massive recovery effort. Please pray for the volunteers from North Carolina who are seeking to be Jesus’ hands, feet and voice to people they are ministering to.
- Consider downloading this video and showing it during your service this Sunday. It is only about two minutes long, but it is a powerful way to show the need, what God is doing and how we can help. https://vimeo.com/173762755
- Encourage people from your church to go to West Virginia to help. We need a lot of volunteers to help with the 150 recovery job requests already on the books. To volunteer or to give to the disaster relief efforts, visit www.baptistsonmission.org/wvflood
Thank you for your prayers and support.
