Six years after Hurricane Florence devastated eastern North Carolina, and many small towns have yet to recover. Fair Bluff is one of those communities. The people there felt forgotten and abandoned, but all that changed this summer when volunteers in yellow shirts started showing up. They set up shop at Fair Bluff Baptist Church and started working on homes throughout the town. Please download the latest video, and ask your church to show it as an example of how your gifts to the N.C. Missions Offering are being used in Fair Bluff. You’ll see the download option under the title of the video when you click on this link. Volunteers will be needed for a variety of construction projects through the end of August. Skills and experience are helpful, but anyone with a servant's heart can find a place to help. As the on site coordinator Linda Pitman says, “This is a love affair between us and Fair Bluff. We don’t have to move mountains, we can take tiny steps. And with your help, those tiny steps will become a reality.”
You can volunteer by selecting Fair Bluff in the location tab when signing up. |
