Hurricane Matthew UpdateWe are preparing for Hurricane Matthew to pass. Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina will all be affected. NCBM Disaster Relief volunteers have been tracking the storm and the current storm damage. We are in contact with our state and national partners as well as Emergency Management officials. Mobile kitchens, recovery teams, and additional support teams are on standby to assist. We have been asked to send one of our large feeding units (30,000 meals per day unit) and other equipment and teams to Florida (Jacksonville area). Feeding is expected to begin as early as Sunday or perhaps Monday. We are also preparing other large kitchens and other equipment for deployment to wherever they are needed (probably NC). Please continue to pray for people who are in the path of Matthew. We believe that we will need many volunteers in the days and weeks to come in NC as well as other states. For more information on how you can help go to: http://baptistsonmission.org/hurricanematthew For updates and informationFollow us on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ncmissions |
