World Missions Week
World Missions Week: July 3-8, 2017
Are you interested in learning about exciting opportunities for involvement in state, national, and international missions? Then World Missions Week is the place you want to be! Celebrative worship, small group time, and mission moments are but a small part of World Missions Week. Rush of Fools will be leading worship each evening. Tom Richter will be our pastor for the week. Inspirational and informative studies will be provided for all age groups (pre-school, children, youth, adults) as well. This is the only week of the summer at Caswell that offers programming for all age groups.
Tom Richter
Tom Richter is an outstanding camp pastor and he speaks at student conferences across the country. Tom is also the pastor of a church located in the center of the most ethnically diverse county in the United States. This church is called New Hope. New Hope was started in 1997 in an effort to help reach the fantastic, quirky, surprising, delicious, and never dull part of NYC that is the borough called Queens. New Hope does not own a building, and we meet in the neighborhood of Jamaica, Queens. Check out www.newhopeny.org for more information.
Rush of Fools
Each member of Rush Of Fools has known since an early age they wanted to serve God with their lives and their music. The Birmingham, AL based band takes their name from 1 Corinthians 1:26-31, Rush Of Fools' message of God's mercy and grace is encapsulated in their debut single "Undo," which has seen an extraordinary climb up the Christian radio charts. The band members are just a group of guys who love music and love God. They seek to exalt God's glory in everything they do.
Deep Impact 2017 Summer Missions Caswell
July 2-8, 2017
Deep Impact camp will combine the worship experience of summer youth camp with the “hands-on” missions experience of a mission trip. Each participant will choose from a wide selection of mission projects which they will be involved in throughout the week. Deep Impact camp is for adults and youth only (rising 7th-12th graders). No childcare will be available for this camp. All adults and youth will be expected to participate in a mission project. These mission projects will mainly be off campus and each church must provide drivers and transportation to and from the projects daily. All lodging is in the barracks and meals in the dining hall. Rush of Fools will be leading worship each evening. Tom Richter will be our pastor for the week.
