Hurricane Florence Update: 10/5/2018

Thanks to your prayers, gifts and support, N.C. Baptists are serving Hurricane Florence survivors all across eastern North Carolina. Consider downloading and showing the video below during your service this Sunday. Also, take a few minutes to pray for those affected. The brief 1 minute video is a challenge by State Ag Commissioner, Steve Troxler, to get personally involved in helping people affect by Hurricane Florence.

Continue praying for the storm survivors and relief volunteers. Consider making a financial gift to support the ongoing relief efforts. Consider volunteering to assist with the immediate and long-term recovery efforts. The biggest need right now is for tear-out volunteers at any of the 14 Disaster Recovery sites. You do not need to be trained to do most of the recovery work. We are doing chainsaw, mud-outs, tear-outs, shockwave/sanitation and putting tarps on roofs out of these sites. Our Recovery Sites with Site Coordinators include: New Bern, Lumberton, Wilmington, Morehead City, Cape Carteret, Laurinburg, Warsaw, Scotts Hill, Riley's Creek, Wallace, Shallotte, Bunnlevel, Red Springs, Elizabethtown and others are being added soon.
