Update

North Carolina Disaster Relief has been asked to send up to 10 volunteers to Maui for two weeks at a time beginning on Sunday, September 24. If you are interested in volunteering please choose volunteer now to the right of this page.

In early August 2023, a series of wildfires broke out in Hawaii, predominantly on the island of Maui.

Please continue to pray! John and Gay Williams, the Hawaii Pacific Baptist Disaster Relief co-directors, have represented Hawaii Pacific Baptists on Maui since early Friday morning, August 11.

Kahului Baptist Church in Central Maui (Pastor Jay Haynes) is doing a fantastic job distributing supplies from their location. Besides distributing essential items and care from the church building.

Other Maui County Baptist Churches are also involved in the efforts.
Pray for these pastors and church leaders.

Reminder from John and Gay: Please do not send items to Maui unless they have been requested by someone official in Maui. As you can imagine, Maui County is overwhelmed with item donations.

Our primary way to respond is to pray and give.

You may give to Hawaii Disaster Relief and designate the gift as "Hawaii Fires." You may send a check made out to Baptists on Mission and send it to PO Box 1107, Cary, NC 27512. Give online at https://baptistsonmission.org/Donate
