2018 NC Missions Conference

Hurricane Matthew Rebuild
Families are eager to return home after being flooded by Hurricane Matthew last October. We need your help repairing their homes so they can return as quicly as possible.  We are working in 4 locations: Black River (Pender County), Goldsboro, Lumberton, and Windsor.  We provide food, housing, building materials and coordination.  Sign up at www.baptistsonmission.org/hurricanematthew.

 

Appalachian Christmas Outreach
The Appalachian Coalfields Ministry seeks to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of people living in the Appalachian Area. One of the greatest ministry needs occurs at Christmastime. NCBM is asking churches statewide to respond to this need through APPALACHIAN CHRISTMAS OUTREACH. Our goal is to collect 10,000 backpacks to be distributed to children in December. Deep Impact Missions Weeks
Deep Impact Missions Weeks are pre-packaged week-long mission experiences sponsored by Baptists on Mission/NC Baptist Men that provides Middle and High School students and their leaders with the opportunity to: “Share God's love with people through word and deed.” Youth and leaders will participate in a variety of mission opportunities including construction, VBS/Day Camps, sports evangelism, community outreach, prayer walks, and others.  For more information contact Tom Beam at 1.800.395.5102, ext. 5626 or by email at tbeam@ncbaptist.org.

DI Kids Mission
DI Kids Mission weekends and week-long camps are pre-packaged mission experiences for children in grades 1st-5th and their leaders. Children and leaders will participate in a variety of mission opportunities including lite construction, community outreach, and others. Seminary Contruction Project in Cuba
In addition to construction and agriculture work at the retirement home in Santiago and church ministry projects throughout Cuba we are now enlisting construction teams to help build a new seminary in Santa Clara, Cuba. New Mobile Dental Unit
The 2000 mobile dental unit (Bluebird Bus) is in need of replacement.  An anonymous foundation has pledged a matching donation of $225,000 toward a new unit.  Please help us raise the matching $225,000.  You can mail a check, call 800-395-5102 x 5613 to donate by credit card or donate on line at http://baptistsonmission.org/Donate 
 
Health Screening Ministry
We are developing partnerships between the Health Screening Ministry and community college nursing programs. If you know any instructors at your local community colleges, could you forward their information to me at chorton@ncbaptist.org, or 919-459-5610?
 

Armenia
Assist pastors and church planters by leading VBS, assisting with construction, hosting a men’s or women’s conference, or teaching pastors at the seminary.  Pastors are planting churches in areas where there is no evangelical church.  One recent VBS team saw 141 professions of faith.  Click below to register or for more information:

South Africa
We are building cottages at Door of Hope Village to provide a home for rescued children not chosen for adoption.  Teams will make concrete blocks, and over the next few years build an entire village.  You can also extend your trip and assist church planters in the Winterton area as they reach their communities for Christ.  For more information:

Honduras Opportunities 2018
Dates are now available for teams of 8-14 volunteers to serve in Honduras. NCBM operates a 36 acre ministry center in the Choluteca area of the country. Teams go out into local communities to build a house for a family in need. Team can also do door to door visitation and children’s ministry as part of the mission. Red Springs and Shelby Mission Camps
Teams serving at Red Springs and Shelby Mission Camps have the opportunity to make an impact on people's lives. The Mission Camp Leadership will identify a project based on the current need and the skills of your team. While the service provided by teams is important in and of itself, the opportunity to build relationships, pray for, and minister to the community is the real purpose of the Mission Camps. Construction Skills Training
We are doing training in basic skills needed to assist with construction ministry. Attendees will learn how to hang and finish drywall, install flooring, lay out and frame walls, among other skills. This training will be held at the Red Springs Missions Camp on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Cost is $5 per person for the one day training. Click below to register or for event information.

Drivers Needed
The mobile dental ministry needs drivers with CDL Class B license to drive the 2000 Bluebird Bus and the 2011 International Truck.  Training for setting up the vehicles at dental clinics is provided.  We are seeking drivers who live within an hour of Cary and are available for overnight trips on Friday/Saturday.  The schedule is very flexible.  Call Joanne Honeycutt at 800-395-5102 x5603

Wake Forest Church Day
This year's Wake Forest Church Day is Saturday, September 30. Church groups, RA/GA/Children's Mission Groups, Youth Groups, Sunday School classes, etc. are all welcome to attend.  The game this year is against Florida State.  Program and game times are subject to change based on TV Scheduling.  Tickets will be mailed out in the week of September 18.  The deadline to receive ticket orders in the office is September 13. College Student Summer Internship in Eastern Europe
Through the NCBM Roma Partnership and Student Summer Ministries, college students can join a team traveling for two months throughout Hungary, Romania and Ukraine. This team will host English Bible Camps in Hungarian public schools and VBS programs in various Roma villages. Applications are due by December 31, 2017 for summer 2018. 2018 Student Summer Ministries
Now Accepting Applications. Student Summer Ministries offers college students (and a few high school seniors) opportunities to serve Christ during their summer breaks through ministries based in North Carolina. Student Summer Ministries opportunities are with BeDoTell Team, Camp Caraway, Camp Mundo Vista, Deep Impact Youth or DI Kids Missions, Fort Caswell (NCBA) or the Roma Gypsy Team. Baptist Men, Challengers, and Royal Ambassador Leadership Training
Two one-day leadership training sessions will be offered this year -  September 9 in Lincolnton and September 16 in Magnolia (near Kenansville) - for those working with Men’s Ministry, Challengers, and RA’s. The training will prepare church leaders to reach and disciple men, young men, and boys for Christ and to involve them in missions. Training begins at 10 am and concludes by 4 pm.
