Hurricane Laura Update
Our Water Tanker arrived at Moss Bluff Baptist Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana and is providing clean water as meals are being prepared for people in need of a hot meal. We have chainsaw and clean up teams in Alexandria, Louisiana. Feeding volunteers from North Carolina are on standby and waiting to be assigned to a location to assist in feeding opportunities.

Hurricane Florence Rebuild Volunteers Are Needed
There are still many people who need help getting back in their homes from Hurricane Florence. Our Florence Rebuild Centers are open and operating at a greatly reduced capacity so that we can follow all Covid-19 protocols. We are practicing the 3 Ws (wait, wash, wear a mask) while staying and working. Please do not come if you are high risk. Lodging and meals are provided (there is a $10 per person per day fee for lodging, 3 meals and supplemental insurance) as well as all building materials.

Red Springs and Shelby Mission Camps
Both of our Mission Camps are operating at a greatly reduced capacity so that we can follow all Covid-19 protocols. We are practicing the 3 Ws (wait, wash, wear a mask) while staying and working. Please do not come if you are high risk. Teams serving at Red Springs and Shelby Mission Camps have the opportunity to make an impact on people's lives.

DI Kids 2021
Dates and locations are now on the website! Registration begins September 1, 2020.  There are 3 fall events coming up and you can register your group now! September 25-27 – DI Kids in Duplin County (Charity Rebuild Center), October 23-24 – Family Missions Overnight at Red Springs Mission Camp, and November 6-8 – DI Kids in Shelby! Disaster Relief Training Opportunities
Recertifications in Feeding, Recovery, Shower/Laundry and Assessment are available by video to those that are eligible.  We also have virtual trainings that are located on our DR webpage. Also listed are the Spring 2021 in-person trainings.

Construction Teams Needed for 2021
Construction teams are needed to continue work at the Seminary site in Santa Clara, Cuba. Work includes pouring cement, laying block, etc. Teams must be registered at least 100 days before start of trip. We are also raising money for a container of food to be shipped to Santiago. Appalachian Christmas Outreach 2020 Still On!
COVID-19 has changed a good many things in our lives. It has not changed the need for this important ministry. We need you and your church now more than ever!  We are encouraging individuals, families, SS classes, mission groups, and congregations to continue in your plans to collect and fill backpacks for 2020. Our Statewide ACO Collection Day is Saturday, November 7. As we are dedicated to keeping our volunteers safe,  COVID-19 protocols have been established for our 30+ statewide collection sites, our processing sites, and for those churches who will be partnering with ministry centers on the field.  Here is the link to our ACO website:
