Disaster Relief Training

NC Baptists on Mission Disaster Response Training is available to all believers who have a passion to serve others. Disaster response is a unique mission experience because of the sudden nature of the event, difficult conditions, and high expectations from other relief organizations and survivors. We hope you desire to serve God in this type of ministry and that you fulfill that desire through NC Baptists on Mission Disaster Response.

regional Training Opportunities

You will notice some changes to the classes we now offer at Regional Training. All classes at Regional Training are now considered basic and require no pre-requisites except Assessment, which requires Recovery; and Forklift, which requires logistics, recovery or feeding. TO UPDATE BADGE DATES
This fall (2026) we will offer virtual trainings to those who need to update their certication date: Assessment, Chaplaincy, Family Care, Technology Services, Crew Chief, Feeding, Logistics, Maintenance, Medical, Recovery, Recovery Trailer/Equipment Manager, Safety and Shower/Laundry.

Forklift classes must be taken in person. (Anyone wanting to update their current badge can take in person trainings in the spring.)

Heavy Equipment (Skidsteer, Manlift) classes are by invitation only. This is not a "how to operate classs" but rather a class to make sure all operators are secure in operating and know our policies and safety procedures. This is a Friday evening/Saturday event. Please email tbeam@ncbaptist.org if you are interested in this class.

The one day spring trainings are for anyone who wants to be certified for the first time or for those wanting to update their badge date.
First Baptist Church, Leland, NC – Saturday, February 20
Rocky Hock Baptist Church, Edenton, NC - Saturday, March 6
Old Town Baptist Church, Winston Salem, NC – Saturday, March 20
Union Grove Baptist Church, Lenoir, NC – Saturday, April 17
Newbridge Baptist Church, Asheville, NC - Saturday, May 1

ALL TRAINING REGISTRATION closes on the Wednesday prior to each training weekend.

Please register for ONLY ONE area to be trained in. There isn't enough time to take more than one class.
Saturday: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
Cost is $40 per person

NOTE ABOUT IN PERSON TRAINING: Each person registered will receive more detailed information about the training on the Tuesday of the week of training. There will be no overnight lodging at the church. If you choose to overnight you will need to work out your own lodging and breakfast on Saturday. Lunch on Saturday is provided. You will arrive at the church to check in and be ready to begin by 8:30 am. Some ministries will finish training before 3:00 pm.
