Baptists on Mission has developed the Appalachian Coalfields Ministry. The purpose is to minister both physically and spiritually to people in some of the poorest areas of our nation. The ministry will cover the states of North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
We are delighted to continue our relationship with the Puu Kahea Baptist Conference Center on the island of Oahu. The conference center has undergone many improvements in the past few years and is a major ministry resource for Hawaii Baptist congregations in inspiring and training their members for ministry.
North Carolina Baptists have enjoyed a fruitful partnership with the churches of the Green Mountain Baptist Association of Vermont since 2005. In that time, thousands of volunteers have served in a variety of ways - from construction to evangelistic outreach. The need is still great. According to a 2009 Gallup Poll, Vermont is the most unchurched state in our nation.
Volunteers are serving all across North Carolina in a variety of ways. Join us for ministry in a variety of ways and in a variety of places. There are many opportunities right in your community through Local Projects and "Operation InAsMuch". There are also great opportunities and needs through Hurricane Florence Rebuild, Impact NC and at our Mission Camps in Red Springs and Shelby.
For the past four summers, North Carolina Baptist teams have been serving throughout Pennsylvania in a variety of ways, including sports camps, Vacation Bible School, backyard Bible clubs, block parties, prayer walking, renovation, new construction, music outreach, and much more. Many projects have involved service in areas in which church planters are establishing new work.
Since 2005, Baptists on Mission has been sending teams to serve in the Rocky Mountain area of our nation. Projects have been completed in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. Volunteers have served through construction, VBS, servant evangelism, prayer walking, camp ministry, and more.
