Sheetrock in Church Basement
Chester, West Virginia

Teams of 10-15 volunteers are needed to install sheetrock in church basement. Work needs to take place at two different times due to the nature of the work. This will include installing and finishing the sheetrock by taping, mudding, applying texture and painting. Basement was flooded and church has removed the old sheetrock 49” above the floor. It now needs to be reinstalled and painted. Host church has the funds to cover the cost of the materials.  Teams need to have the following skills: construction, working with drywall and painting. Church can house the teams in the parsonage, which has 3 bedrooms and a living room (currently empty). Church has a functioning kitchen where teams may prepare their meals. It has two full bathrooms. Currently the pastor is staying in the lower level bedroom and shares the same bathroom on that floor.

Length of assignment:         One week
Preferred Dates:                   January - August 2020
Costs:                                     Travel to WV, food
