Check-in times: If you cannot arrive in time to check-in and start class on time, please choose another date and location to participate.
Check-in is from 2:00-3:00 on Friday for all new volunteers. We will begin training at 3:45. All currently badged volunteers will check-in from 4:00-4:30. All groups will finish on Saturday by 2 pm.
Peachtree Memorial Church 1650 NC 141 Murphy NC
3 meals (Fri. supper, Sat. breakfast and lunch). This is an OVERNIGHT training. Participants who will be staying overnight will sleep at the facility/church dormitory style, men and women separated. Bring your cot/air mattress (no doubles) and anything you need for sleeping. We do NOT provide sleep gear, only space! Showers provided.
18+ for all ministries. Exception: To participate in Disaster Recovery and Feeding training, youth must be In the 6th grade or older. A parent must attend the same class at training.
Participants registered on a first-come, first-served basis. Training class size is limited. Registered Volunteers will be contacted approximately 1 week before the event with any additional information.
Cost for Training
Training: $40 includes training manual, hat, shirt, ID badge, background check (if needed), housing, up to 3 meals, and temporary accident insurance. NON-REFUNDABLE. Credit Card/Checks accepted.
Note: The training is designed to be as realistic as possible. Flexibility is key to having a good experience. Please do not register for this training if you cannot stay for the entire event.
