Vacation Bible School/Outreach
Sutton, Massachusetts
A team is requested to help congregation conduct a VBS for their community, with a family night celebration at the conclusion. Their neighbors have requested a VBS party with a cookout for the parents to come participate and help with the cookout. In addition to leading all aspects of the VBS activities, the team will also do outreach into the town to invite children to the VBS and to conduct prayer walks. Helpful skills include knowledge of rural farm town and how to reach families, good with skits for VBS (drama and comedy), and to make learning fun for the children. Church has not held VBS in a while so this is new to most of them.  Willing and eager to learn. Team will need to provide their own transportation. Lodging may be secured at the Luther Rice Lodge in nearby town. Requestor will have details. A full kitchen is on site at the lodge and a full kitchen is also available at the church. Note:  Teams working with children and youth will be responsible for conducting professional background checks on all members over the age of 18. Team leader will be sent information concerning options for this.
