              Can’t find it? Create it!

Having teens is fun isn’t it?!   Okay, that’s a loaded question! Seriously though, navigating teens is a wild ride! The hard   work to train, disciple, love   and discipline is not for the
weak! What makes this work a little more bearable is when we do it in community! In ourlocal churches, a youth group is a treasure! A place for our teens to plug in with othersthey can relate to and adults who pour into them and help them in their walk with Christin this wild world! But, what if you find your family in a church where there is no youth
group? Maybe you move to a new town, and in a new church where a youth group isnot available. We have been right there! We began attending a smaller church whereour kids were the only people under 25 years old! We knew that God wanted us at thatchurch, but we were concerned about them not getting focused teaching. They began to
plug in and serve at our church, which was great! We love opportunities for them toserve the body! We found groups around town that would meet for study weekly ormonthly, and it was great, but eventually those groups would fizzle after a season. After
concern for our teens and lots of prayer, it was clear; Can’t find it? Create it! So we did!We had our teens invite their friends to our home for a weekly bible study. We feedthem, of course! Have a time of hanging out, playing volleyball, football, etc. Then we
gather to discuss what we studied the week before in our specific study. Prayerrequests are shared and we pray together. We keep a text thread going during the weekfor communication about the study and special events. We even had an ugly sweaterChristmas party! To our surprise, we have around 20 teens each week! These teens are
hungry for community in a world that is getting more and more disconnected. It hasbeen a great gift to our week! We absolutely love that our teens enjoy having our homebe a place of growth, study, laughs and fun for them and their friends as they deepentheir spiritual walks! So, if you are in a similar place now, or in the future, pray aboutcreating the very thing that you are missing! The Lord will fill in the gaps!

Purpose

Seeking to be a resource for churches who want to pursue compassion ministries.

Mandate from Christ

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.
